Marie Curie Durham

Marie Curie is the leading charity for people living with any terminal illness, and their families. Whether that's dementia, cancer, motor neurone disease, heart failure, Parkinson's disease, or any other illness, we can support and care for them. Everything we do, from expert care and ground-breaking research, to practical information and emotional support, helps people facing terminal illness, and their loved ones, make the most of the time they have left together.

Our Marie Curie Durham Nursing Service delivers vital care to patients who are terminally ill from the comfort of their own homes. All our nurses are highly trained and experienced in looking after people at home, making everyone feel comfortable about their presence, answering any questions or concerns, holding someone’s hand and giving family members some much needed respite and support. But most importantly of all, they ensure that everything possible is done to help those living with a terminal illness make the most of the precious time they have left, in the comfortable surroundings of their own homes, with those who mean the most to them.
