Training and Support Offered/Expenses

Durham Community Action: Empowering Volunteers with Training and Support
At Durham Community Action, we believe in providing volunteers with the right tools and resources to make a difference. Our initial volunteer training program enables you to take on a range of volunteer opportunities with confidence and purpose.
We offer both online and in-person training to meet the needs of volunteers. When training is conducted face-to-face, we reimburse volunteer travel expenses and provide tea, coffee, and water refreshments.
Once you've taken on a role with an organisation, we believe that you shouldn't be out of pocket for your efforts. That's why we encourage organisations offer out-of-pocket expenses in line with their own organisation's expenses policy.
