The purpose of a boxing coach is to train and prepare boxers to compete in amateur or professional boxing matches. They work to develop their fighter's physical fitness, technical skills, and mental toughness in order to achieve optimal performance in the ring.

A boxing coach will design and implement workout plans, which focus on developing strength, speed, power, endurance, coordination, and agility. They will also teach the proper techniques of punching, footwork, defense, and ring strategy. They will work on the boxer's mental preparation, helping the fighter to stay calm, focused and confident under pressure.

In addition to training and preparing fighters for competitions, a boxing coach may also work with boxers to help them recover from injuries, and may provide guidance on nutrition and conditioning to help boxers maintain a healthy weight and optimal performance.

The ultimate goal of a boxing coach is to help the boxer reach their full potential, win competitions and achieve their goals in the sport. A good coach is someone that not only help the fighter physically but also provide the guidance and support they need to succeed both in and out of the ring.

Boxing sessions / Kids boxing sessions.

Skills & Qualities

- Combat experience preferred.
- Ability to be able to adapt.
- Continuous professional development.

When & Where?

Monday - Friday, we are based within the centre of Consett.

Training and Support Offered/Expenses

volunteers will have to show their commitment to coaching before signed up for training qualifications.
If volunteers show commitment training qualifications will be paid for.
