Sported exists to help the inspirational people who are working every day to improve the lives of young people and tackle the problems that matter in their local community.

We specialise in supporting the survival and growth of local community organisations using Sport for Development. Our network extends to nearly 3,000 sport clubs, youth groups and small charities, spanning the length and breadth of the UK. All use the power of sport and physical activity to prevent and counter the most pressing societal issues impacting young people today – youth violence, community cohesion and mental health, to name but a few.

Despite their impact and importance, austerity and public spending cuts have left the future of many community groups hanging in the balance. At Sported we protect these groups and build their capacity to help even more young people in their community. We do this by providing free support services and matching the group leaders with skilled volunteers to improve their working knowledge and expertise in the key operational areas vital to securing funding, becoming sustainable and attracting new participants.

We do all this because sport works.
