Castleside and District Community Association (otherwise known as Castleside Village Hall)

Castleside Village Hall helps to keep a sense of community by providing a place where people from Castleside and the surrounding area meet. The indoor and outdoor space provides a versatile amenity for the provision and enjoyment of a range of social and leisure activities and events. The VH committee host various local groups such as the Bowls, WI, History Society. The VH committee stage various events throughout the year to fundraise, such as tribute bands, murder mystery nights, clairvoyant evenings etc, this enables the committee to provide either free or reduced cost family events such as Halloween Party, Christmas Party, Annual Carnival etc. The hall is licensed and is hired out for coffee mornings, weddings, funerals, private parties, christening ceremonies etc, staff working the bar do so voluntarily. The outside area of the VH is called Drovers Dell and is a play area for smaller children that is used regularly by local mums and their children during the day and on an evening older children use the facility to meet up.
