Welcome Support Lead Assistant

Ferryhill, Bishop Auckland, Spennymoor, Sedgefield

Volunteering within DWMA will ideally increase opportunities for social inclusion in local communities, aid Mental Wellbeing stability and improve employability.

Not only will volunteering help with your own Journey, you will support customers and help to empower individuals and ensure that they have respect, dignity, independence, choice and control over their own lives.

This role will ensure customers are supported throughout their time on service.

Responsibilities

- Creating Welcome packs
- Introductions to groups including showing them fire exits ect
- Ensuring they have the correct information i,e Staff contacts, group rules ect.
- Liaising with staff to signpost customers, report any safeguarding issues
- Helping them get involved in group activities and have their voices heard
- You will be working alongside Coordinators and Mangers for the Wellbeing Service.

Skills & Qualities

- No previous experience is required for this role but lived in experience is a bonus.
- Full training and a DBS is provided
- A good understanding of office 365 will be required.

When & Where?

St Andrews Church Spennymoor - Tuesday 2-4pm/4-5pm & Thursday 10am-1pm
No42, Bishop - Friday 1-3pm
Ferryhill Allotment , Neale Street - Tuesday 10-12.30pm, Wed 12.20-3.30pm, Friday 12-4.30pm
