Volunteer Service Assistant

Ferryhill, Spennymoor, Peterlee, Seaham, Consett, Chester le Street, Newton Aycliffe

To support the Volunteer manager with admin tasks and day to day running of the Volunteer service

Responsibilities

- Support the day to day running of the Volunteer Service alongside the Volunteer manager
- Help with the promotion of the service including attending events
- Attend/Lead monthly Volunteer meetings
- Create quarterly newsletters to promote the service
- Support Volunteers on the service with completing paperwork and training
- Support volunteers to achieve their goals and move on's

Skills & Qualities

- Lived in experience
- Desire to move into a paid role within Health and social care
- Empathic and compassionate
- Emotional resilient
- Must be able to abide by Homegroups Policies and Procedures
- Ability to work alone and use your own initiative
- Basic understanding of mental health and disabilities
- Must be able to commute across County Durham

Training and Support Offered/Expenses

- Full training will be given
- DBS will be required at no cost to you
- Applicant must read and sign all relevant policies and procedures for the service
- Travel expenses are covered for this role
- Support to move into an apprenticeship or paid role
