We are looking for people who can help out with our social groups to help organise and help out with activities. Our Ladies and Gents groups each meet up once a week at the Ladder centre and take part in activities that encourage social interaction. We are constantly on the lookout for people who can offer a new opportunity to our groups either by demonstrating a skill or craft and helping others to join in. We are particularly interested in anyone who can offer something that promotes health and wellbeing.
Join in with the well established group and socialise with members to build up a rapport and identity opportunities for activities.
You will need to be friendly and outgoing and able to join in and communicate with members. You need to be respectful of others and non judgmental as some members may open up about their personal circumstances and are often looking for support. Specialist skills would be a great help but are not essential.
Ferryhill Ladder centre or on location during trips and activities.
Mondays 10-2 (Men’s group) Wednesdays 10-2 (Ladies group)
We will ensure training is available to volunteers to help them in their role . Any generic training available to staff will be made available to volunteers as well.
Pre agreed expenses will be covered.
Social experience, work experience, access to training, events and trips organised by the Ladder centre.
