For 40 years, Butterwick Hospice has supported local people and communities across our regions of Teesside and County Durham. We provide holistic care for children and adults living with a life-limiting illness, as well as support for their families and loved ones. We believe in embracing life’s journey with compassion and care and aim to make every day the best it can be for each of our patients and their loved ones.
If you have some spare time – why not volunteer to help us with our gardens at our hospice in Bishop Auckland , and do something amazing?
Whatever your reason - supporting your local community, making new friends, adding experience, or building your CV - we would love to hear from you.
We are looking to re-build our volunteer gardening team at our Bishop Auckland site - to maintain and develop areas of the hospice grounds for the enjoyment of service users, families, staff and visitors.
Some gardening experience would be beneficial and ideally some experience of using powered gardening equipment would be useful - but, most of all, enthusiasm and pride in your work will be a great asset. We will not ask you to perform any tasks you are not comfortable with
