The role of Treasurer is to maintain an overview of the organisation's financial transactions.
Monitor bank account and transactions (mainly cheques and bank transfers), and ensure that financial records are maintained.
As we are a small charity, financial transactions are limited to around 1 per month. Therefore this role would suit someone with a basic understanding of Microsoft Excel (or similar), and an understanding of basic budgeting. The Treasurer role forms part of our charity's Executive Committee and therefore candidates must be eligible to sit on a charity committee.
The Wolsingham Wayfarers Committee meet approximately 6 times a year in Wolsingham. There is an option to join our meeting via video conferencing.
Volunteering with Wolsingham Wayfarers is a great way to contribute to the local community, from rolling up your sleeves helping to replace a waymarker post, to taking an active part on the Charity's Committee.
