Aspire recognises and values the enormous contribution made by our volunteers. We offer a number of meaningful volunteering opportunities with training and ongoing support to help you make the most of your time with us - Its a great way to meet new people, develop your skills, and boost your self confidence.

As part of our Supporting Sisters project at Aspire we aim to support the physical, mental and emotional well being of women so they can live the lives they want.

To do this we need to provide a safe, supportive environment in centre and more recently by phone and online, where women can engage with the different services we offer

Full training, support and mentoring will be provided for all roles.

Groups Lead / Support – Lead or support in a social or structured support group.

One to One Listener – Provide a confidential one to one listening service, support women who often have no one to share issues with , without the fear of being judged.

Telephone Befriender – Check In & Chat, a service for women who may be isolated or lonely.

Aspire Ambassador – Attend events and promote all Aspire has to offer.

Fundraising Group – develop, plan and execute fund raising ideas, to support celebration events for all Aspire wom

Responsibilities

Depending on role the volunteer would work independently or in a small team, contributing to a variety of support services within our unique, award winning, women only service.

Skills & Qualities

Full training would be provided relating to role. All skills are valuable. Opportunities are continuously developing. Over 18 years of age. Specific role descriptors available on enquiry. Personal interview encouraged (online) to discuss interests and opportunities. Mandatory training develops into specific roles.
