Volunteering within DWMA will ideally increase opportunities for social inclusion in local communities, aid Mental Wellbeing stability and improve employability.
Not only will volunteering help with your own Journey, you will support customers and help to empower individuals and ensure that they have respect, dignity, independence, choice and control over their own lives.
This role will provide support to a busy group hosting Breakfast and Lunch clubs - Please note this role is for the Roseby Road, Horden ONLY
- Help with set up and take down at the selected venue
- Create menus and advertise this on social media and across services/businesses
- Liaise with the customer through meetings to see what the customers would like from the service
- Work along side coordinators to buy food and keep them updated
- Undertake stock counts and ensure food is fresh/rotated
- Prep and cook food at a basic level
- Serve food and drink to customers including those with disabilities
- Washing up and keeping the area clean and tidy
- Report any safeguarding issues to staff
- Food and Hygiene level 2 - HG can provide this as part of your training
- No previous experience is required for this role but lived in experience is a bonus.
- Full training and a DBS is provided

1-1 support on service and regular support to ensure your meeting your goals.
