Local MS Society groups play a vital role in supporting the MS Community. Here in North Durham, we provide a range of services - information, grants, exercise classes etc - to people with MS, their families and their carers. We would like to do more, but urgently need additional volunteers to join our coordinating team to enable that.
If you are committed to help, then we will tailor a role around you, whatever your skills and however much time you have to give.
You might be organising activities & events, raising funds, providing advice and support, promoting what we do or helping with administration.
We have open roles in administration, communication, fundraising and support - these can be done by an individual, or split between people.
Above all, a commitment to the MS Community in North Durham.
Depending on the role you take, you will need to have or develop skills in:
- Microsoft Office & use of the internet
- Fundraising
- Use of social Media
Our coordinating team generally meets once a month (by ZOOM) for 60-90minutes.
As a general guide, we are looking for an ongoing commitment of ~2 hrs per week.
Extensive induction, training and support is available via the national MS Society. Expenses incurred on MS Society business will be paid in full.
Working in an enthusiastic and fun team.
Developing your knowledge and skills.
Satisfaction of making a difference to the MS Community in North Durham
