By volunteering at this event, your positive and helpful attitude could be a main influence to guests who could then potentially become a future supporter/donor to the charity. Heel & Toe Children's Charity is not government funded so relies solely on donations to survive. It is vital that all of our fundraising events run smoothly, efficiently and that all our representatives have a polite, friendly and positive attitude when dealing with members of the public.

Responsibilities

Heel & Toe Children's charity have an exciting opportunity for an events assistant at our Children's Christmas Party Event being held at Pelton Community Centre, Chester Le Street, Durham.
Successful volunteers will be responsible for meeting and greeting guests, selling raffle tickets, setting up the room, help tidying the room after the event , Kitchen assistant, Santa's helper and assisting the Event Organiser with fundraising tasks throughout the event. Volunteers will be required to arrive at 12pm until 6.00pm.
Dress code is smart casual .
Successful Volunteers will be given a reference from the charity to help with future employment.

Skills & Qualities

Dealing with customers/members of the public professionally. Customer service training experience requested but not essential. Must have a friendly, polite and approachable attitude. Confident while speaking to members of the public. DBS must be provided when applying.

Training and Support Offered/Expenses

Support will be provided on the day from the events organiser and an expenses form will be handed out to volunteers on the day to claim travel costs.
