Meet and greet customers, provide good customer service working alongside staff. Keep the appearance of the store nice and tidy, includes some merchandising, making the displays look appealing to customers. Cleaning / dusting / hoovering can be part of the role, but we are happy to adapt to the ability of the individuals. We have specific areas for example Books section, clothing section, Bric a Brac section, if people have a preference of working within certain sections in the store. We aim to provide great customer service, a warm and friendly space to welcome all.

Good communication skills, trustworthy, happy to mix with all backgrounds, ages, etc. We require no qualifications but rather a willingness to learn.

We offer support and in house training, in regard to shop work, merchandising, all aspects of a charity retail role. No DBS check needed. We are looking as a charity in the future to offer more training outside of the charity ie. NVQ but at the moment we do not have those facilities.
We offer a friendly space to work, we provide support to local organisations of Veterans and their families so the work that volunteers do in the store help to benefit local people, as well as nationally. You will make new friends , mix with a wide variety of people, from all different backgrounds. You will learn new skills, which will hopefully add to your CV, and as a charity we look to recruit staff from within the organisation where possible, so volunteering with us opens up lots of new opportunities.
We work only in the store at the moment, so no at home volunteering. We are open to all, we risk assess for all volunteers and we try to find a role that is suitable and safe for anyone that wants to come and volunteer within our charity. There may be exceptions to what we can do, but we do our best to ensure we can welcome all.
