To co-facilitate a local Bipolar UK support group. The purpose of the groups is to give emotional and practical support to people with bipolar and their family and friends.
You will be hosting the support group with at least one other facilitator. you will encourage and support people to take part in the group. There will also be a small amount of administration.
The key experience required is having experience of bipolar disorder. This could be through personal experience or through caring for a family member or friend. The key qualities need are being a good listener and a supportive personality.
Once a month in Durham. Location and time to be finalised after recruiting co-facilitators.
There is an induction and a full program of training. You will also receive from a peer support officer. All relevant expenses are covered.
