Our small team of Art Gallery Volunteers are a diverse group of individuals with a passion for art and showing-off our great art gallery in Spennymoor.
Our volunteers meet and greet art gallery visitors and show them around the gallery spaces. They help out with queries, or assist people in making purchases from our art collections as well as our small gallery shop. Some of our volunteers also get involved in designing and installing our new collections in conjunction with the gallery manager.
No formal knowledge of or qualifications in art is required. Enthusiasm and a friendly approachable manner is a great help.

The gallery is in the centre of Spennymoor High Street with free parking at the back of the Town Hall where the gallery is situated.
We provide support for the team, as well as welfare facilities including teas and coffees and, of course, biscuits!
