Volunteering within DWMA will ideally increase opportunities for social inclusion in local communities, aid Mental Wellbeing stability and improve employability.
Not only will volunteering help with your own Journey, you will support customers and help to empower individuals and ensure that they have respect, dignity, independence, choice and control over their own lives.
This role will ensure customers are supported with customer led activities and events
- Hold meetings with customers across our patch areas to find out what activities/events they want to do
- Organising and delivering activities i.e FFF,
- Source grants for staff to apply for
- Organise and plan fundraising ideas
- Lead on activities such as arts and crafts in the groups
- Link in with Coordinators for any materials that needed for the groups for activities
- Attend events
- Liaising with staff to signpost customers and report any safeguarding issues
- No previous experience is required for this role but lived in experience is a bonus.
- Full training and a DBS is provided
- Having great creativity is a bonus!
St Andrews Church Spennymoor - Tuesday 2-4pm/4-5pm & Thursday 10am-1pm
No42, Bishop - Friday 1-3pm
Some support will be given outside of these times as one off events
